(AXcess News) New York - Alcohol may have played a role in Lindsay Lohan being punched by a waitress at Voyeur's nightclub early this morning.  Lohan was there celebrating her 24th birthday and was accompanied by Doug Reinhardt, Paris Hilton's ex-boyfriend.

Knowing how much trouble Lohan could get into if found causing a fight at a bar, sans her birthday or not - the actress was quick to make a Twitter post as soon as she got home in her own defense, saying the waitress hit ever because she was geleous of Lohan coming on to Reinhardt.  If you believe that pile of celebrity pooh, I have a house I want to sell you - its in foreclosure.

Lohan's Birthday waitress punch-a-roo Tweet read: "A waitress just hit me - punched me for no reason."

Other accounts say the waitress really did start it all - that she had a THING for Hilton's former boyfriend.  But it gets better Lohan fans!

Apparently the now 24-year-old Lindsay, who is said to have been drinking RED BULL at Yoyeur's, moved on and didn't make a scene after the waitress punched her in dragging her birthday followers to a party at the nearby Rockstar House where she runs into the SAME WAITRESS AGAIN!!  And get this... Lindsay the spoiled brat Lohan cried... boo, hoo, hoo, poor me its my birthday!

A day like that would drive any recovering alcoholic movie star to drink when she got home.  Oh, ya... no word on wonderboy arm-hanger Reinhardt as to whether or not he went home with Lohan and gave her a birthday present..wink, wink.
