An MBA is not a stock standard qualification, depending on where you decided to study, the academic institution will design their programme, subjects, and contents according to what they consider as the best academic offering. Where there is money
A seemingly obvious place to start out is looking for who you can get funding from. If universities are offering scholarships, education loans or bursaries and you meet the criteria, send in your application. After that, it is a waiting game on whether you’ve been accepted. In the meantime, it is also worth looking at what MBA financing options there are. In case you don’t get funding through a scholarship or bursary, you should start figuring out how you can go about funding yourself.
Universities in Australia
According to the Financial Times Global Top 100 MBAs, there are three universities that have featured in 2019. These are the Melbourne Business School, and in Sydney, the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales in Sydney and the Business School and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management. The Macquarie Graduate School of Management has campuses both Sydney and Hong Kong.
Universities in Africa
Consider studying in Africa. The four-strong competing universities that offer MBA programmes are the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business and Stellenbosch University Business School in the Western Cape.
And in Gauteng, the University of Witwatersrand Business School and University of Pretoria Gordon Institute of Business Science. The graduate programmes compete to feature in the Financial Times Global Top 100 MBAs and UCT’s Graduate School of Business has the triple-crown accreditation and is only one of three business schools that have this position.
Global top-ranking universities
If you’re looking to study at the best of the best, have a look at some of the ratings and then compare. There are different rankings that feature, but you will soon see a repetition of schools in the top 15 of each of the various ratings. Here are some of the world’s best business schools.
In the USA there are the well renowned Stanford Graduate School of Business and Harvard Business School as well as the University of Pennsylvania: Wharton. In France and Singapore, you will find Insead and in China, there are the Ceibs. If you’re more interested in studying in the UK, the London Business School ranks in the top 5 MBA programmes in the last 3 years.
